Located in Lisbon, the building that will house Conde Redondo residential units has until recently been used for offices (on floors 1 to 5) and commerce (on the ground floor). The rehabilitation work therefore aims to improve its living conditions and to adapt it to the functional needs of a contemporary multifamily housing construction, meeting the market’s current requirements.
The new housing program consists of 14 apartments, of T1, T2, T3 and T4 typologies. The solution proposed for the standard floor is based on its division into three fractions of different typologies (T1, T2 and T3), while the fifth story comprises two apartments (T3 and T4). The project maintains each floor’s gross areas. The facades facing Conde Redondo and Bernardo Lima streets were studied, and new openings are proposed, in order to adapt the building to its new function.
Regarding the rest of the floors, the two spaces intended for commerce in the ground floor maintain their configuration and the two basement floors are used as a parking area.
