The project aims to redesign the public space of the Avenida da Boavista, improving its accessibility and qualifying the urban environment. The project focuses on three sectors of the urban axis with specific features and morphologies that will be intervened in a particular way.

The overall program for the intervention contemplates the two lanes of the avenue with different directions, the central separator, parking bands, landscape and pedestrian circulation. The solution also proposes the creation of a cycle lane along the street, encouraging the use of the bicycle for daily and leisure transport.

It is also planned to build an underground parking garage that is structured along three floors, located under the avenue and implanted from the Rua Guerra Junqueiro to the intersection with Rua Pedro Hispano – in an extension of approximately 300m. The landscape planning is essential in the requalification of the public space of Avenida da Boavista. The tree species were selected according to the location as well as the constraints of each sector.
